Responsibilities Set up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture. Ensure that the pool furniture and area are clean and safe. Warn of unsafe activities and enforce water safety policies and pool regulations Provide first aid in the event of injury, rescue swimmers in danger or distress and administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or artificial respiration, if necessary Assess conditions for safety and come up with an action plan for aquatics emergency Inspect pool equipment, facilities and water to make sure they are usable and safe Open and close the pool each day, depending on schedule and hours Identify potential threats to safety and watches over guests to ensure they are safe Contact appropriate persons in case a situation escalates beyond their expertise Enforce the facility’s rules Maintain a level of physical competence to carry out the job Inspect facility and immediately report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor Requirements Lifeguard degree Certification in First aid, CPR, and AED principles and procedures. Knowledge of water rescue methods and techniques, swimming strokes and aquatic techniques. Physically fit Competent swimmer At least 1 year working experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* or 5* hotel Good knowledge and use of Greek and English both written and verbal (A second foreign language will be considered an asset) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
